No. 05 · Authority Atlas · constitutional backbone, source-backed
The United States as an authority graph
The people. Distinct powers. Conditional checks. Follow the source of a power, then see what bounds its exercise.
Seventy-eight sourced records across twenty-six holders, projected through five lenses: origins, checks and limits, selection and tenure, federalism, and Washington, D.C. Every connection opens a first-class record with its constitutional locator, and the registry below the graph is searchable by primitive and holder.
A bounded resolve() fixture tries one constitutional route at a time, a presidential pardon, an Article II treaty, or an Article V amendment, and reports authorized, denied, or indeterminate.
Limit. A projection, not a chain of command. Coverage of the constitutional backbone, not a claim of completeness: state orders, agencies, case law, and incumbents are aggregated or not yet modeled. Indeterminate is a stop, not a verdict; the model implements the authority graph and leaves adjudication to the institutions it maps. Reviewed 7 October 2026.
